Family Hiking Trip

Last weekend we took the girls to a nature show, and hiking. Bailee enjoyed all the animals and Annika got excited when she saw the Opossum. Bailee said it looks like a little kitty cat. When we got on the hiking trail Bailee walked up beside another group of hikers and asked a man what he was carrying. He replied that he had a walking stick. Bailee smiled and said, I have a stick but it is on my lower case A's. I just laughed, she is learning to write her alphabet and a lower case a to her is a circle and stick. She just keeps me laughing, and wondering what she will say next. Bailee hiked over two miles and loved every minute of it. Half way we stopped for lunch and water. Just in case you are wondering Annika rode in the back pack carrier and seemed to enjoy herself too. We hope to do this kind of trip again real soon.

I just wanted to thank everyone who helped make Annika's first birthday special. From helping take pictures to escorting Annika to the party, We could not have done it without you. Thank you to those who spent their Saturday morning with us in honor of Annika, and to the family who could not make it, we sure did miss you. I hope all the pictures will almost make you feel as if you were there, and if that's not enough go get a cupcake and do what Annika did.
