Happy 6th Birthday Bailee

It is so hard to believe Bailee is six. The morning of her birthday a few friends stopped by to give her a gift and share a cupcake with us. Bailee had only a few requests for her birthday and that was the movie Pilgrims Progress and a Barbie with a pink dress and curly hair. She was so excited and I think had a wonderful birthday.

Fun at the Fair

Funnel cakes, chocolate covered bacon, and goat milking who could ask for more?

Bible Character Night

Tonight after AWANA while getting in the van I read the flier that said next week is Bible Character night. I asked Bailee who she would like to be and she quickly said Mary. She then asked Annika if she would like to be Martha, and Annika replied she would like to be Martha Speaks. Martha Speaks is a cartoon on PBS, where Martha is a talking dog. Not exactly the Martha Bailee was referring to, but it did give us a good laugh.

Naptime

Its a 1st in the Beck home......all three girls are taking a nap at the same time, in the same room, and they are asleep. I would take a picture but I am afraid it would wake someone up.

Going to the Polls

Went to the polls with three girls in tow. Bailee was upset that she could not vote, and the lady told her to come back in twelve years. Annika just wanted to know if they had any bubbles. Haha!

Sluggard or Ant?

The girls clean their room each day and usually one takes a little longer than the other. We are trying to teach them to work like ants and not be a sluggard. Tonight Bailee came out of the room while sweet little Annika finished up her part. A little while later Annika came out and was so proud of her work that she wanted me to see the room. I went in and knew if I waited long enough she would tell me where she stashed the stuff she was supposed to be cleaning. I watched her eyes and sure enough she looked toward the dresser. She then said "I put a few things under there, but it's OK since I didn't know where the go." I could not help but laugh as we pulled the toys out from under the dresser. Oh Annika, how I Love who you are!

Safe Keeping

Today we turned the house upside down looking for Ricky's belt. It was nowhere to be found so he had to change clothes before leaving for school and work. We could not understand how it could be lost since yesterday. Well, this evening Annika walks out of her room with it in her hands. She said it was in her Polly Pocket bag, and that she had put it there so she would know where it was. Good thing she did...right?

Mimi's Blanket

When we moved to California Mimi sent us her favorite blanket in the mail. Around our house we call it "The Mimi" and it has been well loved. Sometimes it is used to play cars so that a path(or road) can be left for other cars. Not long ago Julia was having a really tough day and the only thing that would calm her down for some reason was....you guessed it "The Mimi" Hope this makes you smile Mimi!

Bailee is a Pro

The girls absolutely love Julia. Bailee will hold her every chance she gets, and when we are out Annika proudly tells anyone we meet about her little sister. This picture was taken a few months ago but it shows how sweet Bailee cares for Julia and I wanted to share it with you.

Annika waiting so patiently

The girls like to play games on the Playhouse Disney web site. This day Annika was waiting so patiently to pick a game that she fell asleep.

Crazy Girls

It only got crazier when it was time for Annika to burp!

Out of the Mouth of Annika Joy

Yesterday Julia was crying and Annika asked me why she was crying? I told her that I was not sure, and Annika said "maybe she wants her bottle." I then said no, she has already eaten. She looked at me and said "Well then she just wants some frankincence." Annika is the one in the family that is always saying something silly! She has a funny name for just about everything. She calls her forehead, her headboard. Bailee and I just laugh, and I think it is so cute that I have not told her any different.
